Structural Staff Engineer - Fort Collins, CO

CTL|Thompson Inc. seeks a Structural Staff Engineer for its Fort Collins, CO office.  The applicant must have a B.S. in Civil Engineering (emphasis on Structural), have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam, and have experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.  Experience in construction is strongly preferred. In addition, this individual must possess a great work ethic, have strong writing and communication skills, and exhibit robust problem-solving skills.

Duties will include:

  • Drawing foundation plans, structural plans, and construction details.
  • Preparing design calculations for multiple structure types and materials (concrete, steel, and wood).
  • Visiting project sites to perform construction observations.
  • Collaborating with other structural engineers in the office as well as interacting with engineers of other disciplines as applicable to design.
  • Working with other engineers and clients on project coordination.
  • Use of word processing programs, spreadsheets, Revit/AutoCAD, and structural design software

Staff Engineers are paid an annual salary between $55,000.00 and $85,000.00 plus discretionary bonuses.  Our offer will be based upon individuals experience and qualifications.  Our full time employees enjoy paid vacation and paid sick time as well as a generous benefits package which includes medical, life and long term disability insurances.  Voluntary benefits options include dental, vision, critical illness, accident, supplemental life, short term disability, a flexible spending account and a health savings account.  Retirement benefits include a 401K and profit sharing plan.
